Ahmad has close to 25 years of work experience as an investment professional, serving senior roles in investment management, investment advisory and trading. Prior to founding Jadara Capital Partners in 2013, Ahmad held senior portfolio management positions with Soros Fund Management (New York and Istanbul-Turkey), Morgan Stanley Investment Management Emerging Markets (New York), Scudder Kemper Investments Emerging Markets (New York), EFG-Hermes Regional Markets (Cairo-Egypt) and SHUAA Capital (Dubai-UAE). Ahmad began his professional career as an equity position trader with Merrill Lynch & Co.'s emerging markets team in New York. Ahmad earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University and was awarded a Master in Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School.
Hassan is an experienced CEO, investor and entrepreneur with over 25 years of work experience. Hassan was Chief Executive Officer of Weather Investments II and Gemini Technologies (a portfolio with specialization in telecommunications) which together were valued at over $10 billion in equity. Hassan was hired by the sole owner in 2003 to build from scratch, a full-fledged PE operation which, at its peak, had dozens of active investments across 4 continents. In 2005, he led the buy-side team and was instrumental in the largest LBO in European history when Weather Investments bought Wind Telecom of Italy for a total amount exceeding 17 billion Euros. Wind was then operationally and financially restructured and sold as part of a larger telecom asset in 2010. Prior to that he was Chief Investment Officer of EFG-Hermes Private Equity and fund manager of the Horus Private Equity Fund. Hassan began his career in project management with ExxonMobil in the US and Europe and later moved on to the Boston Consulting Group's New York office as a management consultant. He has served on several corporate and not-for profit boards including multinationals, startups and the Advisory Board for the Business School of the American University in Cairo. Hassan received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Wharton Business School and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
